Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers (BPHE)
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers (BPHE) are compact, high-efficiency solutions for heat transfer in industrial applications. They are built from corrugated stainless-steel plates permanently bonded by brazing (copper or nickel), creating a gasket-free, monoblock construction. As a result, they deliver excellent thermal performance with minimal maintenance.
How it works
In a brazed plate heat exchanger, hot and cold fluids flow through alternating channels formed between the plates. The plate corrugation creates turbulence, increasing the heat transfer coefficient and helping reduce fouling. Because the plates are permanently bonded by brazing, BPHE units can operate reliably at elevated temperatures and pressures without the risks associated with gaskets.
